Demons to Champions

How I fell in love with my neurodivergent maverick mind

Hi, I'm Gary Coulton.

Thanks for coming to my brand new website!

My first book is out - "Demons to Champions - How I fell in love with my neurodivergent maverick mind".

This is a book for the misfits, the left-field thinkers and neurodivergents of our world. People searching for their place, purpose and life's meaning.

It's also for the people who love them, work with them, lead them or are led by them.

I'm fascinated and curious by everything - our internal world and our external experiences - the people we meet, the places we go and the events we experience.

Demons to Champions is an autobiography/memoir written more in the style of a novel, because that's what my life feels like!

Book Reviews

It’s a book that’s going to stay with me for a long time. The floating dream witnessing your own birth was also a wow moment - I keep thinking about it. I couldn't put is down - a compelling read, a beautifully written book which made me laugh and cry

Susannah Sheppard

A thoroughly enjoyable read, gave me so much food for thought.
The curiosity, the bewilderment, the compassion, the despair, and the courage in navigating the trials and tribulations of youth, the coming of age, and growing in wisdom, it was all a compelling tale.

Santhini Kumaran

Your book will assist others to gain understanding about how different minds might think, and also how much goes on beyond what is apparent to the eye, how one should not make assumptions about how people think and feel.

Jacki Edry

Gary a remarkable insight into an extremely talented but deeply challenged man. He holds nothing back in describing his mental demons who stayed with him for much of his life. Despite them, Gary has achieved so many things in a highly varied career and the Book stayed with me after I read it. I loved his description of life in the 70's, many of us will find this very amusing.
All in all, a very moving book, not always easy to read but I think that many of us will recognise some of ourselves in it.
